A young child has been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a head-on collision just north of the city Saturday afternoon.
York Regional Police say a minivan and a SUV collided on King Road at around 4:15 p.m.
King Road is currently closed in both directions between Bathurst and Dufferin streets as a result.
The closure is expected to last for several hours as police investigate.
