Toronto man wanted for assault after LCBO employee struck by bottle during robbery: police

Toronto police are searching for a man who allegedly threw a bottle of alcohol that struck an LCBO worker during a robbery on Monday night.

Police say they were called to the store located in the area of Avenue Road and Deloraine Avenue, located south of Brooke Avenue, shortly before 7:45 p.m.

The suspect walked into the store, and allegedly started taking bottles of alcohol and putting them into a box, prompting loss prevention staff members to approach him.

Police say the accused threw a bottle, hitting one of the staff members, before he ran out of the store.

The employee was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say Adam Canali, 34, is wanted on several charges, including for aggravated assault and two counts of breach of probation.

Police describe Canali as six feet tall with buzzed hair and a receding hairline, and tattoos on his neck, arms and hands. They add that he was wearing a black t-shirt, black Roots sweatpants, black shoes and a black balaclava at the time of the incident.
