Police are actively searching an Etobicoke neighbourhood for a woman who has been missing since Saturday night.
A command post has been set up by police at the Toronto Congress Centre to coordinate the search.
Police say that Rose, 61, disappeared from the Finch Avenue and Highway 27 area at around 9:50 p.m. on Saturday.
The last visual investigators have of her is from the early hours of Monday morning near Dixon Road, police say.
“Our (surveillance) video has led us to this location where we are right now. She was last seen checking some doors of business in the area and then continued walking eastbound on Dixon Road,” Staff Sgt. Gavin Jansz told CP24 on Monday afternoon.
Rose is described as five-feet-six with a thin build. She was last seen wearing a black and white sweater, red shirt, baby blue UGG shoes and carrying a black and white suitcase.
Police say they are very concerned for her health and safety as she is not believed to be dressed for the weather.
Anyone with information, or anyone who spots someone matching Rose’s description is asked to contact police at 416-808-2300, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), or at www.222tips.com.
